Welcome to the South Gloucestershire Public Rights of Way (PROW) website, for information on where to go and what to do on paths, whether you want to walk, run, go cycling or ride a horse.
You can also report any problems you may encounter whilst using paths in the area too. To do this, please login (or register an account if you have not already done so) and visit the map page to start reporting your issue.
We are compiling all the information you need to find places to explore in the South Gloucestershire area. One our most exciting projects is to compile reliable prepared routes for you to follow yourself. For a selection to get on with we have some routes in our walking guides section.
We are also working on our mapping system where you will be able to search, and view routes to aid with planning your next trip. Some of these walks, runs, nature rambles, horse rides, suggested walking commuting routes and more are being surveyed and compiled by volunteers. We're working with others - the Wildlife Trusts, Ramblers, British Horse Society, Museums, health walk groups and others to put these together. Please see our easy access trails pages for more information about these routes.
We have also collected together some guidance about Rights of Way, including answering some frequently asked questions and providing information for those interested in using or managing countryside areas. Please refer to our advice and info section for this.
Please note that maps on this site are not a legal record of public rights of way. The maps are provided to assist with recreational use only and must not be relied upon in relation to the purchase, sale or development of land or in relation to legal disputes. The routes shown on the mapping have not been fully checked for accuracy or suitability unless clearly stated otherwise. Use of the routes is at your own risk.
